I used dialup for years.

Being from the rural countryside, when DSL became the thing, we didn’t get it for a long time, the same with cable.

I remember using dialup for what little of my teenage years I had a computer well into my 20s.

When I was a youngster, I was too busy playing outside and in the woods to know what a computer was. We had one at home that my stepdad found, with floppy disks but I rarely got on it because I wasn’t allowed to.

I actually started out on 2800 baud modem and dialed into a local BBS to converse with others. That was the early internet. Later came Qlink and Prodigy 2 online services. Qlink became AOL and Prodigy closed down.

I also had dial up for years. I don’t miss it one bit.
I remember originally using AOL.

I had dialup. Mostly I had a dedicated line either ISDN or DSL.
